Qatar Telecom and Indosat
Qatar Telecom on June 7 agreed to buy Indosat’s 40.8 percent stake held by Asia Mobile Holdings Pte, its venture with Temasek Holdings Pte’s Singapore Technologies Telemedia Pte
The stake purchase comes after an Indonesian court upheld on May 9 an antitrust ruling that ordered Temasek to sell its stake in either of its two Indonesian telephone units. Temasek’s unit Singapore Telecommunications Ltd. also owns a stake in Indosat’s rival PT Telekomunikasi Selular.
