How to resize multiple picture/image files at once
Posted on May 17th, 2008 in How to
Sometimes, after taking a lot of picture during vacation or daily activity you need to send that files to others friend or just backup it. In this case, you need to resize the picture size to appropriate size that suitable for your need. Either makes it 640×480 or just 1024×768 or just customized size.
Usually we used picture editor from Microsoft Office Picture Manager, or using free one from Irfan View. And used this methodology: Picture/Image > Resize such as below

This method is effective until you need to resize more than 10, even 100 pictures at once. And you’ll face a problem with repetitions which makes you bored.
So here is the solution:
1. Download Microsoft Image Resizer 521KB (it’s free), or visit download page.
2. Used Microsoft Picture Resize to resize the picture size.
The Microsoft Picture Resize can be used with a lot of picture. It’s embedded using your right click, so it’s very easy and simple to be used. Just select multiple files that you want to resize, right click and you will find that resize menu. Here is the screenshot

To resize multiple files, just right click on the picture

Sebenarnya IrfanView sudah bisa melakukan proses batch conversion tersebut, jadi software Microsoft Image Resizer tidak diperlukan.
Untuk melihat fitur lengkap IrfanView, silahkan lihat Image Viewer

Hi there,
Thanks for sharing.. I used to do a mass-resizing with macromedia fireworks, it’s called as “batch processing”.
You can also do a mass-renaming, and many other features..
Anyway, nice blog. Keep it up!
