Artalyta Suryani
Artalyta Suryani is Indonesian business woman who were arrested by Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) as part of bribery investigation. Artalyta suspected give Prosecutor Urip Tri Gunawan US$ 660.000,- on March 2, 2008. The bribe was allegedly related to his position as the leader of an Attorney General’s Office team investigating the alleged embezzlement of Bank Indonesia liquidity support (BLBI) funds involving tycoon Sjamsul Nursalim.
Artalita as reported in Jakartapost, is a gemstones trader, is also a vice commissioner of PT Indonesia Prima Property, which is involved in the real estate and property sector. PT Indonesia Prima Property is partly owned by PT Gadjah Tunggal Mulia, a subsidiary of PT Gadjah Tunggal, which is partly owned by Nursalim. Artalita’s late husband Surya Dharma was a former boss of PT Gadjah Tunggal. [images from detik.com]
